SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month (DVAM), and community leaders gathered to recognize the prevention, support, and justice work in Northwest Louisiana.
Project Celebration, Inc. hosted the event Friday morning at The Harbor, 3004 Knight Street in Shreveport.
Shreveport Mayor Tom Arceneaux and Bossier City spokesperson Louis Johnson read proclamations from each city.
Caddo Parish District Attorney James Stewart also recognized those working to keep our community safe and supporting victims and survivors.
