Family-Focused ideas win big at LSUS Pilot Pitch

SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) — LSU Shreveport’s annual Pilot Pitch competition on Friday highlighted student business ideas centered on helping families.

Undergraduate winner Paige Schuldt created The Nurture Nook, a portable breastfeeding space for mothers at festivals and events. Graduate winner Max Haubrich pitched SurPrize!, a boutique toy store that offers interactive children’s birthday parties.

Both winners received $3,000 and six months of support from the Entrepreneurial Accelerator Program.
