The pickleball phenomenon shows no sign of slowing down, and Shreveport seems to be no exception.
Pickleball is a quickly growing sport that sits somewhere between tennis and ping pong and is uniquely approachable. A new indoor pickleball experience awaits enthusiasts at the Pickle Pen, adjacent to and under the watch of Bodacious Bar and Q.
Bodacious Bar and Q, at 8410 Line Ave., has created a barbecue picnic-style nostalgia with the addition of the pickleball court, which opened Feb. 1. Pickleball equipment is available at all major sporting goods stores, as well as locally owned Sportspectrum.
Pickle Pen is open everyday but Monday 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Players can grab one of the two courts for a $30-an-hour court fee and bring up to 10 friends.
Email PicklePenSHV@gmail.com or check out their website to book a court.
