Walmart says it is putting money into stores in Shreveport, Bossier City, Springhill, West Monroe and across the rest of Louisiana in 2025.
Of the 650 U.S. stores the company plans to remodel this year, 35 are in the state. Those stores will add to some zeros to the $402 million the company has already invested in upgrades around Louisiana over the past five years.
The improvements will focus on upgrading the stores’ look with new signage and new “department store” type displays. Shoppers will find an increased selection with expanded departments and new items.
