
SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – The Shreveport Fire Department has proudly achieved national recognition for its exceptional pre-hospital care in cardiac and stroke emergencies.
For the second consecutive year, the department has been recognized in the AHA’s Mission: Lifeline EMS Recognition Program and the Get With The Guidelines – Stroke Honor Roll.
This time, achieving Gold Status for excellence in both ST-Elevation Myocardial Infarction (STEMI) and stroke treatment.
Previously earning the silver status, the department says the gold accomplishment demonstrates its commitment to providing timely and effective care for patients in critical situations.
