SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – A beloved movie theatre in Shreveport is celebrating Black storytelling and filmmakers from January 31 to February 6.
Robinson Film Center has partnered with Mahogani Media to present CineNoir: Black Voices in Film.
The week-long event is designed to inspire, spark dialogue, and foster a greater appreciate for Black artistry.
For this year’s event, a Black filmmaker symposium will take place on Feb. 1 at 2 p.m. Filmmakers will discuss the industry. The symposium is free and all ages are welcome.
Mohagani Media’s Kristi Woodard will co-curate the festival. She said CineNoir is more than a festival.
