SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – The Shreveport-Bossier Sports Commission announced that the Louisiana High School Athletics Association (LHSAA) will hold its 2025 state wrestling tournament at the Brookshire Grocery Arena this weekend and will include the first-ever girl’s wrestling tournament.
“Shreveport-Bossier is proud to host the 2025 State Wrestling Tournament,” said Sara Nelms, Director of Sports for the Shreveport-Bossier Sports Commission with Visit Shreveport-Bossier. “We are excited to welcome this event back for another year at the Brookshire Grocery Arena, and we are especially honored to host the inaugural girls’ division.”
The tournament is on Friday, February 14, and Saturday, February 15, at the BGA and will showcase the skills of about 1,200 participating student-athletes and 250 coaches from across the state. The addition of the Girls’ Division 1 tournament highlights the growth of female wrestlers. The weekend event is expected to provide an economic infusion for local hotels, restaurants, and other entertainment and service providers in the area.
