High Gravity Glassworks in Shreveport has moved on down the road. The glass blowing business that started on Marshall Street now welcomes the world to their new space, the former Schorr’s Furniture Store at 1120 Texas Avenue.
The business has been, pardon the pun, blowing and going since opening. Owner Michelle Pennington told us it is not unusual for there to be travelers from multiple states participating in glass blowing workshops on any given weekend. “They (the visitors) look us up on the internet,” she told us. “They take the workshop and make an item on their way to a vacation destination, then stop and pick up the finished product on their way back.”
