BOSSIER PARISH, La. (KSLA) – “Never disqualify yourself from what you can do. I love Proverbs 23:7 that says ‘As a man or woman in this case thinketh in their heart, so is she.’ So if you believe, if you think that you can be a wonderful teacher, you can become a wonderful teacher,” said Dr. Tracey Burrell.
Dr. Burrell supervises recruitment and retention at Bossier Parish Schools. As a lifelong educator, she works with teachers and staff and helps expose current students to the teaching profession so they can “start, stay, soar.”
“I would want the teachers that I would desire for my own children and so to make sure that we choose high quality teachers for every child is imperative to my work and to this community, and so I’m very passionate about what we do in Bossier Schools and within this role, particularly teaching individuals about this profession and cherish the profession itself. It is the most impactful profession there is and I’m so happy to be a part of it,” Dr. Burrell said.
