BOSSIER PARISH, La. (KTAL/KMSS) — The Bossier Parish Community College debate team has earned its sixth national championship.
The team won the Community College National Championship at the International Public Debate Association’s national championship tournament on Monday, April 7. Preston Langley, a co-coach for the debate team, noted that this national title is particularly significant compared to past awards. “This team faced incredible odds, starting the season with small numbers and competing against much larger programs. Their strength of character, hard work, and consistency were key. Despite falling just short at earlier tournaments, they persevered and culminated their efforts with this remarkable win,” said Langley.
