“Brain Freeze” by Alex Lucas, 2022-2023 Best In Show Winner

by Jeremy Hefner, Gallery Coordinator, Bossier Arts Council

On Tuesday, February 6th from 6pm – 8pm, this annual showcase of student work returned to the Bossier Arts Council’s East Bank Gallery.

This show is an opportunity for our organization to shine a spotlight on the newly burgeoning artists coming out of Bossier Schools and the Bossier Talented Arts Program. Teachers, students, parents, and lovers of art were invited to come see the incredible display of talent and hard work produced throughout this past school year.

During the night the Bossier Arts Council awarded prizes valued at a totaling $1,000

These included ribbons, monetary checks, and new art supplies. Teachers of winning students also received matching prizes for their classrooms.

As is tradition, the Best In Show Winner’s artwork will be used as promotional material for Bossier Parish 2024-2025 Student Art Show.

These artworks will be on display and available for viewing from Feb 1st until Mar 26th, 2024.
