Shreveport geeks gathered Aug. 18-20 at the Shreveport Convention Center to celebrate all things pop culture at Geek’d Con.
Cosplay enthusiasts, collectors and autograph seekers were transported to other worlds. Darth Vader was spotted at BRF’s Digital Media Institute’s booth. Cinderella frollicked at concessions. And, Harry Potter’s Death Eater patrolled on stilts.
Despite an ongoing writers strike, several celebrities were on hand for panel discussions, autographs and photo ops. Kevin Smith highlighted Geek’d Con, along with Jason Mewes and others from View Askew Productions. Other stars include Brandon Routh from “Superman” and Grammy Award winner and Steven Universe star Estelle.
Prize Foundation, Bossier Parish Community College and a variety of local artists and vendors also were on hand for the festivities.
