Shreveport, Louisiana – Red River Revel’s annual fundraiser, CORK, the area’s premier wine festival, returns for the 18th year on Saturday, April 6, 2024, from 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM at the upper pavilion of Festival Plaza in downtown Shreveport, Louisiana. The annual wine fundraiser event showcases over 90 wines, delectable bites from local restaurateurs, live music, raffle items benefiting the Red River Revel, vendor booths from Kendra Scott and Clean Slate Botanicals, and a special pop-up package store by Thrifty Liquor.
Created in 2005 as a fundraising event benefitting the Red River Revel Arts Festival, CORK, annually event attracts over 1,000 wine enthusiasts and revelers to Festival Plaza for an afternoon of music, food, fun, and of course, wine! The event will feature multiple wine booths pouring 90+ quality wine varieties from a carefully curated list including reds, whites, sparkling, sweets, and rosés. Republic National Distributing Company and Southern Glazers Wine & Spirits provide the wine as well as the staff to share knowledge about each brand and type. In addition to the wine, guests will enjoy bite-size food portions from local restaurateurs including Mi Meza Latin Cuisine, Newk’s Eatery, We Olive & Wine Bar, Niema’s Cookery Corner, Vegans on the Run, Kajun Kroner Food Express, Earnestly Tootie’s, The Smoking Oyster, Texas Roadhouse, and Great American Cookies at Provenance Place.
CORK XVIII will feature two stages of live music this year featuring singer/songwriter Haley Brooke on one stage and saxophonist, De’Lontrell Thomas, on the other stage. Along with the live music, a score of raffle items will be available to win, including jewelry by Kendra Scott, rare whiskeys, tickets to local events such as ARTini, Beast Feast, and Christmas in Roseland, a signed and framed Joe Burrow jersey, and more. Guests can visit the Clean Slate Botanicals booth for locally handcrafted candles and scents and the Kendra Scott booth for jewelry gifts with a percentage of sales benefiting the Red River Revel. Lastly, guests can visit the Thrifty Liquor special pop-up store to purchase bottles of their favorite wine tastings.

ABOUT THE RED RIVER REVEL
Red River Revel is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization serving the region around Shreveport, Louisiana with cultural programming in the areas of “Art, Music, Food.” Program events include Shreveport Farmers’ Market, CORK: A Red River Revel Wine Event, Shreveport BREW, and the Red River Revel Arts Festival. Created in 1976, the Red River Revel is a 9-day annual arts festival bringing together visual, musical, and performing artists, along with the regional community for a celebration of the arts. The Red River Revel also produces CORK: A Red River Revel Wine Event, an annual celebration of wine and food, which serves as a fundraising event held at Festival Plaza each Spring.
