SHREVEPORT, La, (KTAL/KMSS)— Coach Brad Neffendorf has been named the 2025 Skip Bertman Coach of the Year by the College Baseball Foundation (CBF).

The Skip Bertman Coach of the Year award was first presented in 2013. It honors the nation’s top coach from any level of college baseball. The award is named after legendary Louisiana State head coach and College Baseball Hall of Famer Skip Bertman.

Neffendorf led the LSUS Pilots to a perfect and historic 59-0 season. These wins include the 47-0 regular season and a 30-0 mark in Red River Athletic Conference play. The Pilots would then sweep the RRAC tournament, the NAIA Opening Round, which they hosted, and the Avista NAIA World Series in Lewiston, Idaho. This season set a new record for the longest win streak in college baseball history, regardless of division.
