SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) – “I’ve learned quite a few things. I’ve learned to accept people as they are. I have learned to respect others’ opinion, and I’ve learned to treat other people as I would wish to be treated and to one day at a time and live it to the fullest.”
Katie Cross has reached a milestone. She’s celebrating 100 years of memories, wisdom, and experience.
Franklin Roosevelt was the first president Cross remembers as a child. She described watching John F. Kennedy in office and how things are so different today.
“And the debate was so much different then. They talked about the issues and what they were going to do for the country and for the people instead of so much personality and name calling,” she said.
When it comes to technology, Cross explains how she never thought you could make a call from a device in your pocket.
“I never thought of the cell phone. But you can Google…anything you want. You can learn anything you want about anybody you want,” Cross said.
