SHREVEPORT, La–When people think of fashion and designers, they want to go to Los Angeles or even Dallas. But what a lot of people don’t know is there’s one Shreveport woman who is making her own seat and table. She’s been able to fill a niche in Shreveport by bringing West African fashion and food to our city.
The need for diversity in Shreveport is what, local designer and chef, Niema Longstratt says inspired her to start her café, RNL Authentics. The Sierra Leone native believes hers was one of the First West African Cafes in Shreveport.
