BPCC Theatre wins six awards at national festival

BOSSIER PARISH (KTAL/KMSS) – The Bossier Parish Community College Theatre Program has received a prestigious national recognition.

Each year, the Bossier Parish Community College Theatre Program submits productions for evaluation as part of its ongoing participation in theKennedy Center American College Theatre Festival (KCACTF). A festival that offers students and faculty the opportunity to receive feedback from industry professionals and compete for scholarships and national honors.

This year, the BPCC struck gold when their production was honored with six Meritorious Awards for Excellence, along with two nominations for the Irene Ryan Acting Scholarship. The awards recognize the accomplishments of both students and faculty/staff who contributed to the production held at the Stephen W. Slaughter Theatre on the BPCC campus.
